National Maritime Domain Awareness Plan

The National Maritime Domain Awareness Plan (NMDAP) supports Presidential Policy Directive-18, Maritime Security and the National Strategy for Maritime Security (NSMS). The NMDAP promotes maritime security through improved governance, policies, and actions that support effective understanding of the maritime domain. The NMDAP is one of seven implementation plans that support the NSMS.

The mission of the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office (NMIO) is to advance maritime intelligence integration, information sharing, and domain awareness to foster unity of effort to protect the United States and its global interests, its allies, and its partners against threats to, in, or emanating from the global maritime domain.
